The West Ada Marching Clinic & Competition is being offered as an educational experience to benefit the students and staff members of each participating band as well as to entertain parents, family, friends, and the community. We have hired nationally renowned clinicians/judges for this event to give our participants a world-class experience. Our clinicians/Judging consist of: Individual Music, Ensemble Music, GE Music, Percussion, Individual Visual, Ensemble Visual, GE Visual, Color Guard / Auxiliary. These experts gave positive information to students and teachers alike, with the goal of helping each ensemble reach is maximum potential.
Each band received two thirty-minute clinics with 10 clinicians. The first clinic will be held in our back courtyard. Band directors were able to choose what they wanted to work on, and the clinicians will give productive feedback to help improve each program.
After the first clinic, bands moved to Eagle High’s Thunder Stadium, and received a second forty-minute clinic with a different set of experts.
Bands are encouraged to watch other band’s clinics throughout the day, with the goal for students to observe and learn.
For the competition competition, the classification of the participating bands will follow the current Idaho D-III guidelines, scoring sheets and weights. Trophies for high score in each caption will be presented, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in each division.
